I have dark brown hair and I want blonde highlights. Will Smart Blonde work?
Yes, Smart Blonde has been specially formulated to work on all hair colours from light to dark. To assess your personal development time, carry out a strand test.

I have pre-lightened my hair but it has gone orange. Why is this and what can I do?
When pre-lightening, your hair lightens in stages. If you have achieved orange/ dark yellow, this is because the product has not been left on your hair for a long enough period. In most instances, you should be fine to re-apply the pre-lightener for the recommended time, however please carry out a strand test prior to re-application.

I use Smart Blonde all the time. Why do I have to carry out a strand test each time?
With any hair colour, even when used frequently, incompatibilities can occur as your hair can be susceptible to imbalances depending on the way you are feeling. A strand test will just help to ensure that you will be happy with the end result.

I have used Smart Blonde six weeks ago but now my roots are coming through. What do I do?
You can re-apply Smart Blonde to the root area but it is important not to re-apply to hair that is already pre-lightened in order to avoid over-processing. Leave for the recommended time, rinse and style as usual.

I have used Smart Blonde but now I want to go back to my normal colour which is brown but my friends have warned me that my hair could go green. What can I do?
You can apply brown on top of Smart Blonde, however it is important to replace the pigment which has been removed, therefore use a brown with red tones in it, ie rich brown, golden brown, mahogany or auburn. Always carry out a strand test prior to full application.

I used Smart Blonde a week ago and I want to go swimming ­ can I?
Chlorine levels in public swimming pools can be high which can in turn react with blonde hair (pre-lightened or natural). To be on the safe side, wait for a minimum of 7-10 days before swimming.

I have been swimming and my blonde hair now has a green tinge. What can I do?
This is normally caused by a reaction to the chlorine levels. Use a high ph / cleansing shampoo and this will remove the tinge.
